That’s not a craft

For those who have younger kiddos, there comes a time.

There comes a time when your kid:

Actually starts being funny.

Develops amazing wit.

Joins in with the sarcasm.

And many other things.

It’s a beautiful thing.

But, those things that display maturity can also show in other ways, like being a smart aleck…

Case in point:

A couple of weeks ago during our normal bedtime battle with Sprite:

“Sprite, you need to clean all the craft supplies out of your bed.”

*procrastination*

“This is why we don’t craft at bedtime.”

“It’s not a craft!” annoyed and exasperated at his comment.

“Is it making something?”

“Yes.”

“Then it’s a craft.”

Point for Daddy.

“Well, you make your bed and it’s not a craft!”

Point for Sprite.

And, points for me for not completely falling off the couch laughing when I overheard this exchange.

I literally pulled my shirt over my mouth to stifle my laughter.

A couple of minutes later, Brent comes down the hallway only to be met with me giggling incessantly.

I can’t even with this chick.
