We use a lot of words in our house.

Many of them filled with a complaining sound.
For instance, the words below are many that are said among one another – specifically our girls to each other.
Please read the following words and phrases aloud:
No.
Yes.
Stop.
Don’t.
That’s mine!
Where did you put it?
That’s my shirt!
Those are my shoes!
Stop looking at me!
Give it back!
Alright, did you say them?
These are some of the most commonly used phrases in our home.
But with one caveat: there’s a suffix attached to last word (or only word in some instances) in every phrase.
Now read the following phrases (same as the ones above) by with Uuuuuuhhhhhh and attitude attached to it.
Nooouuuuhhhhhhhh.
Yesuuuuuuuhhhhhhh.
Stopuuuuuuuhhhhhh.
Don’tuuuuuuhhhhhh.
That’s mineuuuuuuhhhhhh!
Where did you put ituuuuuuhhhhhh?
That’s my shirtuuuuuuhhhhhh!
Those are my shoesuuuuuuhhhhhh!
Stop looking at meuuuuuuhhhhhh!
Give it backuuuuuuhhhhhh!
Yep.
I get to hear this lovely sound from every one of my kids – yes, even the now 3 year old.
It’s absolutely delightful…
Sometimes Brent like to get in on that action too.
*murderous stare*
Can you feel the disdain?
Uuuuuhhhhhhhhh
